Used to : Đã thường, đã từng a. Form
Ex: We used to live in the country. Now, we live in the city.
Did you use to live with your parents?
b. Usage:
“Used to + infinitive” để diễn tả một thói quen hoặc một sinh hoạt thông thường trong quá khứ, mà nay không còn làm nữa.
Ex: My father used to smoke cigarettes, but he doesn’t smoke anymore.
Note:
Used to không có hình thức hiện tại. Để nói về thói quen và tình trạng ở
Hiện tại, dùng thì hiện tại đơn.
Ex: My brother used to play basketball, but now he plays volleyball.
- Chúng ta không dùng Used to khi chúng ta nói chính xác sự việc xảy ra
Bao nhiêu lần, trong thời gian bao lâu, hoặc vào một thời điểm cụ thể nào đó trong quá khứ.
