3 II. GRAMMAR:
1/ Possessive pronouns ( đại từ sở hữu):
Thay thế cho một danh từ /cụm danh từ đã nói trước đó, nhằm tránh lặp lại.
Note: It không có dạng đại từ sở hữu. Its là dạng tính từ sở hữu của it.
E.g: - My favorite subject is English. What’s yours? ( “yours” này thay thế cho “your favorite subject” )
- What is your favorite subject? Mine is English.
- This house is ours ( This house is our house)
2/ Talk about your favorite subject ( Nói về môn học ưa thích nhất)
I like English best.
= My favorite subject is English.
= English is my favorite subject.
Minh likes Math best.
= Minh’s favorite subject is Math.
= Math is Minh’s favorite subject.
3/ Thích làm việc gì…
like/ love/ enjoy + V-ing: thích làm gì ...
-I like watching TV.
-They like playing soccer.
-She likes growing flowers.

- Động từ tận cùng bằng “e” → ta phải bỏ “e” trước khi thêm “-ing”
E.g: make → making , drive →driving…
- Động từ tận cùng bằng 1 phụ âm, đứng trước nó là 1 trong 5 nguyên âm ( u, e, o, a, i)→ ta phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối trước khi thêm “-ing”
E.g: get → getting, swim→swimming, cut→ cutting…
- Các động từ tận cùng là w,x, y giữ nguyên khi thêm “-ing”
E.g: play → playing, box→ boxing, draw→ drawing…
