1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students can be able to:

- To consolidate the sound of the letters Ee, Ff, Gg and Hh and the corresponding words.

2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening, reading, writing and speaking skill.

3. Attitude: - Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English.

II. TEACHING AIDS

1. Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, pictures, computer, speakers.

2. Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks.

III. METHOD

- Communicative approach.

Techniques:+ Work individually, in pairs/ groups.

IV. PROCEDURE

1. Organization:(1’)

- Hold up the phonics cards one at a time to show to the students

- Say the name of the item on the card (Teacher can say correctly or not) and ask the students to verify the word you say is correct or not by putting their thumbs up (correct) and down (incorrect).

- Put a flag or a ball in the middle of the class

- The students who are assigned that word from two team race to pick up the flag or the ball

- The student who gets the flag or the ball first wins and gains 1 point for the team The teams with the most points wins

- Ask a student from one team to come to the board

- Whisper one of the vocabulary words (from unit 5-8) to the student.

- Without speaking, the student draw a picture of the word on the board - The first team to guess the word correctly wins a point.

- Repeat the activity with a student from the other team.

The team with more points wins the game.

- Tell the students that they can decorate the picture following what they like or write the words under each picture.

- Go around the classroom to provide any necessary help, ask individual students to say out the sound or the items then give out some comments or

- Demonstrate cutting out the pictures - Put them in an envelope

- Ask students to have their parents cut out the pictures, keep them in their envelope as a collection

- Point to each picture and elicit the letter, the sound and the name of the item
