UNIT 14: WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
I. Aims of the unit:
- Helping students:
- To seek information
- To recognize and correct mistakes - To prepare and complete a questions.
- To write a letter to a friends - Teaching grammar structures
+ Passive forms
+ Indirect questions with if and whether + Question words before to-infinitives + Verb + to-infinitives
- Ss will be able to practice: Speaking, listening, writing and reading skills II. Teaching aids:
- Text book, pictures, posters, cards, real objects, tape, cassette…

Lesson 1: Getting started, Listen and read Lesson 2: Speak + Listen
Lesson 3: Read Lesson 4: Write

UNIT 14: WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
LESSON 1 – GETTING STARTED + LISTEN AND READ A. Aims of the lesson:
1. Knowledge:
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to seek a language game to complete a summary, get to practice in reading to seek information.
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know more about famous places throughout playing the game.
*. Language focus:
a) Vocabulary: The words about the wonders of the world; the Pyramids, Sydney Opera House ….
b) Grammar: Verb + to – infinite, Grammar Awareness 2. Skills:
- Develop Ss’ listening and reading skills.
*. Kĩ năng sống cần giáo dục:
- Hướng dẫn cho h/s có khả năng tư duy và phê phán cao, biết nhận thức và đánh giá được nét đẹp của những kỳ quan thế giới.
- Tích cực lắng nghe để biết được nguồn gốc và cả những nét nổi bật của các kỳ quan là gì.
- Tự tin trong việc thực hành nâng cao khả năng dựa trên bài mẫu để giới thiệu về một kỳ quan của đất nước Việt Nam.
3. Attitude:
- Help Ss to interested in this subject.
- Actively practice the role of characters to read articles and practice individual reading skills, thereby understanding the content of the text.
4. Knowledge should be achieved:
+) Qualified: Stating names of some famous wonders in the world stated in the listening and reading text. Practice rereading and summarizing the text through Summery.
+) Advanced: Pretty good students can use the sample in the book to talk about a wonder in Vietnam.
5. Teach for student with disabilities:
- Teach student will be able to know more about famous places in Viet Nam and famous places in the world.
- Listening then read the passage about some places in Viet Nam.
- Answer the questions about the places.

- Present new words and then guide Ss to read them in chorus
- Check vocabulary by technique “ROR”
- Students with disabilities can listen and repeat the new words.
- Copy down in the notebook.

Rearrange the statements in the right order of the game.
- Put the statements on the chart.
- Ask Ss to read the statements and put them in the right order.

- Check if Ss ' answers are right or not.
2. WHILE-READING: (15’)
- Have Ss read the dialogue again and complete the summary (2).
- Ask Ss to compare their answers with their partners.
