UNIT 12: LET’S EAT

I. Aims of the unit:

After finishing the unit, Ss can

- identify different foods: meat, vegetables, seafood - express preferences

- describe how to make a meal

- complete a recipe and talk about diet - create a menu

- identify quantifiers "a little, a lot of, too much, plenty of 1. Nouns :

Cucumber, papaya, durian, bowl, dish, amount, diet, spinach, soy sauce, dirt, 2. adjectives :

UNIT 12: LET’S EAT

LESSON 1: WHAT SHALL WE EAT? : A1 - 2 (P.114 - 116) A. Aims of the lesson:

1. Knowledge:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to speak about favorite food and drink to contrast

“Would you like…” with “ do you like…?”

- Ss can talk about foods or things.

- Expressing the likes or dislikes of what foods or foods.

*. Language focus:

a) New word: spinach, cucumber, durian, papaya, (to) hate, (to) smell.

b) Structure: Practice to talk about your like: so, too, either, neither.

2. Skills:

- Speaking, writing, reading and listening.

*. Giáo dục kĩ năng sống:

- Qua bài học này h/s nâng cao hơn nữa sự tư duy về chất lượng của các loại đồ ăn thức uống. Học sinh biết lựa chọn món ăn mà họ ưa thích nhất.

- Rèn luyện sự quan tâm đến bạn bè, người quen khi dùng câu hỏi trong bài hỏi họ để biết xem họ thích món ăn hay đồ uống gì? So sánh với bản thân mình.

- Kĩ năng đảm nhận trách nhiệm có liên quan đến kĩ năng tự nhận thức, kĩ năng thể hiện sự cảm thông, kĩ năng hợp tác và kĩ năng giải quyết vấn đề.

- Ss actively listen to the lesson, record the sentence structure in the lesson and then apply it to practice in pairs and groups to ask and answer about food and drinks.
