I. AIMS:

-By the end of the lesson pupils can use the words and phrasers related to the topics Comparing places.say questions and answers about the  weather.

4. Read and answer.

-Tell the class that they are going to read the passage and answer the question.

- Get  them to read the questions and underline the key words .then Ss should read the passage and look for the relevant information to answer the questions .Get Ss to work in pairs or in groups

-Set a time limit for pupils to do the task

 Ss swap and compare their answers before checking as a class

5.Write about  where you live. 10’

-Tell the class that they are going to write about  where they live.

Have them work in pairs or groups to discuss what they are giong to write.Tell them to focus on the places where they live and what these places are like .

-Set a time limit for them to do the task.

- Get them to a swap and read what they have written  in pairs  before inviting some pupils to read their answers alound.

-T corrects the mistakes . 6. Project (5’)

-Compare the place where you live with another place.

-Tell the class that they are going to compare the place where they live with another place

-Ask Ss to work in groups to discuss and select a place to compare with their place.Encourage them to find pictures of the two places to illustrate their ideas.

-Invite two or three groups of pupils to talk to the class about the places.

 7. Colour the stars.(3’)

- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension.

- Give them time to colour the stars and invite a few Ps to read the statements aloud.

- Give further support to Ps who find it difficult to achieve certain objectives.

     

-Ss ask and answer.

- Before they listen, get them to look at the pictures and ask them questions to remind them of the characters. (E.g. Who are they ?Where are they ?What are they doing  ?

 - Ask them to read the story in silence. Then play the recording all the way through for them to listen and follow in their books.

- Tell the class that they are going to read the story again and answer the questions.

- Give a few seconds to read the story againand check their comprehension.

- Give them a time limit to do the task.

- Ask them to swap and compare their asnwers before checking as a class.

- Invite a group of seven to act out the story.
