1. The aims: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to listen and read a dialogue to know about the results of studying thatv Tim did this semester 2. Needing to get the knowledge.

.- Standard: Practice the dialogue and tick the True or False sentences then answer the questions

Step 1: Pre - reading (13’)

Today, we are going to read the dialogue about Jim's study. Let's start with some new words.

- Ask Ss to read the statements and predict if they are true or false

- Ask them to share with their partners.

1. The aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read and understand the text for main ideas about how students learn new words.

2. Needing to get the knowlege

- Standard: Understand the new words, scan the text and find out the main ways that language learners use to learn new words, tick the true or false sentences - Higher: Answer some additional questions

3. Language focus.

+ Vocabulary: list (n); meaning (n); mother tongue (n) ; learn …by heart (v);

stick (v); so as to (conj); come across (v); underline (v) ; highlight (v);
