I. Objectives: After the lesson, students are able to: Pronounce correctly the sound of the letters “ sh ” and “f”. Develop: Listening and writing skills.

- Phonics: the letters “ sh ” and “lk”.

- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 2. Competencies:

- Be self-conscious complete the exercises - Cooperation: (work in groups/ pairs) 3. Qualities:

- Ss like English and how to know the food and drink - Educate Ss how to keep healthy

- Positive about recipes and eating habits

- Students know how to learn English in right way - Confident in learning and practice situations II. Teaching- aids

1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, CD, computer.

2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

III. Procedure:

1.Organization (1) : Greeting and warm up the class

-Tell pupils that they are going to practise saying the sounds of the letters f and sh in the words beef, leaf and fish, dish respectively.

-Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the correct answers.

* Activity 3 ( 10’)

-Tell pupils that they are going to say the chant Would you like some fish? Follow the procedure in Teaching the unit components in Introduction.

- How many people are there ? Ss: four - T opens the chant. Ss : listen to the chant.

- T read the lyrics. Ss repeat after the teacher.

- T teach them some new words.

- T opens the chant again. Ss repeat line by line - Ask ss to sing along with the music

- T devides Ss into 2 groups

- Ask Ss to sing and do actions in groups - Ss sing and do actions together.

- T calls somes groups perform before the class and T listen and give feedback.

IV. Consolidation(1’)

- Retell the content of the lesson.

- T plays the recording for Ss to listen 1 st time.

- T plays the recording again for Ss to listen and complete the correct answer.

- Asks Ss to exchange their answer with partners before reporting them to the class.

- T asks Ss to read out the answer.

- T plays the CD again for Ss to check their answer.

- Set the scene “ you are going to read a story in which Phong asks Linda questions about her brother.

-T asks pupils to look at the pictures and elicit their answers:

Who are they in the picture?

Where are they?

What are they talking about?

- Ss answer (In Picture a, Linda is sitting at the computer and writing an e-mail to her brother, and Phong is standing

nearby. In Pictures b, c and d, Phong is asking Linda about her brother (the place he lives, his job and his appearance) -T opens the cassette.

- Ss listen and point

- T opens the cassette again.

- Ss listen and read in chorus( 2 times) -T - Ss role play.
