Unit 7: SAVING ENERGY

Lesson 1: Getting started + Listen and read

A. Objectives:

1. Aim: Read a dialogue for details about savingwater.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understands the dialogue and about the ways to save energy.

2. Practice skill:

- Practice the comprehension reading skill,writing and speaking skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Read a dialogue for details about savingwater.

+ Advanced knowledge: Recall the dialogue.

4. Basic language:

- Vocabulary: enormous,plumber,dripping faucet, crack, water bill - Tenses: simple present tense.

- Grammar: Suggest + V-ing 5. Attitude:

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice reading for detalis, doing some exercises.

B. Teaching- aids:

Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster.

C. Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work

- Some techniques can be used: matching, T/F prediction, comprehension questions , word cue drill, recall.

D. Procedure :

I.Organization: (1 minute) - Greeting: Good morning!

+ Standard knowledge: Practice making and responding to suggestions.

+ Advanced knowledge: Use the structure: S+ suggest that + S + should + V.

Discuss to find out the ways to save energy at home and school.

4. Basic language:

- Tenses: simple present tense.

- Structures:
