UNIT 17 HOW MUCH IS THE T-SHIRT?

Lesson 3 (1, 2, 3) I.Objectives.

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1. Knowledge:

- Pronounce two-syllable words with the stress on the first syllable 'sandals, 'trousers, 'jumper, and 'jacket.

- Look at the sentences and the stress marks ('). Then listen and say the sentences aloud.

- Say the chant How much is / are...?

- Aim: Ss can pronounce the - syllable 'sandals, 'trousers, 'jumper, and 'jacket.

Aim: Consolidate two syllable 'sandals,

- Procedures:

- Run through the task then tell ss that they are going to listen and write the words they hear.

Guess the answers.

- Listen to the recording 2 times and circle.

- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partners.

- Check and correct.

- Listen to the teacher - Listen and repeat

Activity 3. Let’s chant(10’)

Aim:Consolidate about asking and

answering question about the prices of clothes.

- In put: The chant “ Would you like some fish?” on page 50 and the listening file

- Procedures:

- Teacher introduces the chant "How much is/

are?”

- Run through the sentence by sentences - Play the CD for Ss to listen.

- Play the CD. Ask students to read each sentence in the chant.

- Play the chant again and asks students to read.

- Ask students to read the chant, combine with slap their hands.

- Divide class into three groups and chant. Which group chants well, that group is the winner.

- Have whole class to read the chant again to reinfo
