LESSON 3: Part 1, 2, 3 I. OBJECTIVES

sBy the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1. Knowledge:

practice 2 sounds of the letter / a/ and /u/ in the words fan and cup respectively.

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.(10’)

- In put: sounds, words and sentences in part 1 page 28; listening file about the sounds, words and sentences

- Procedures:

-Introduce the sounds of letter a - Ps’ attention on the letters colored differently in the words fan,hand,.... Ss learn to produce the sound of the letters “ a” in these words - Listen and repeat. Read in groups in pairs.

- Ps practice the sounds carefully

- Some Ss reports the answer. The rest of the class listen and give comments.

- Ask ss to find some other words with the sound have learnt.

- Ask ss to practice reading the words and sentences.

- Out put: Ss pronounce the sounds u in the words and the sentences correctly

*Activity 2. Listen and tick. Then say sentences with circled.(10’)

Aim: Consolidate two sounds u through listening and writing skill.

- In put: 2 sentences in part 2 on page an28 d listening file of part 2

- Procedures:

- play game in two teams.

- Introduce the Chant . How many desks ?

-- Run through the sentence by sentences - Play the CD for Ss to listen.

- Play the CD. Ask students to read each sentence in the chant.

- Play the chant again and asks students to read.

- Ask students to read the chant, combine with slap their hands.

- Divide class into three groups and chant.

Which group chants well, that group is the winner.

- Have whole class to read the chant again to reinfo
