Lesson 3 I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge: After the lesson, Ss will be able to review the sound of the letter O, four O words and recognize the corresponding pictures, write the letter O
2. Skills: listening, speaking, writing 3. Attitude: Ss like studying English
- S: Le Ngoc Linh and Hoang Ngoc Tuan know the letter O.

2. Warm up (5’)
Play the song from Lesson 2 (Track 06), ask students to sing along and do corresponding actions.

- T:Hold up the phonics cards one at a time.
- T:Ask the students to verify the word the teacher says by putting their thumbs up or down.
*Activity 2 (7’)
- T;Ask Ss to take out their colour pencils/ crayons.
- T:Name some colours and ask the students to repeat.
- Ss: name the picture
- T:Use the structure: “I like…” and ask the students hold up the colour pencils/ crayons they like.
- T:Show the picture in the book to the whole class.
- T:Point to the orange and say: an orange.
- T:Have the students say the word and colour it.
6. Say and colour the o word

- Ss: colour the pictures
- T:Give the students 2 minutes to circle the pictures that have Oo in them.
- Ss circle the pictures
- T:Go around the classroom asking the students to say the o words they are colouring.
*Activity 3 (8’) (Track 13)
- T:Show the Ss the omelette phonics card. Point to it and say: // - omelette. Ask them to repeat.
- Ss: read in chorus
- T:Mime cracking and beating eggs and say: // - omelette. Encourage the Ss to do the same
- T:Point to the pictures, Ss do corresponding actions and say the words.

- T;Ask Ss to take out their notebook then ask them to choose one word the draw the letter and the picture in their notebooks.
- Ss: write on their notebook
- T:Tell them to colour the letter and the picture.
