1. The aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read and understand the text for details about how students learn new words.

2. Needing to get the knowledge.

- Standard: Understand the new words, read the text for details about the ways that language learners use to learn new words.

- Higher: Higher: Answer some more questions about themselves.

3. Language focus.

+ Vocabulary: list (n); meaning (n); mother tongue (n); learn …by heart (v);

stick (v); so as to (conj); come across (v); underline (v) ; highlight (v);
