1. Knowledge

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to compare places using “ comparative and superlative adjectives of one syllable.

- Know how to form comparative and superlative adjectives of one syllable.

- Read short text for details about some big cities in the world.

- Learn some vocabulary.

2. Skills

- Reading, writing, speaking skill.

- Compare places using “ comparative and superlative adjectives of one syllable.

Tokyo is smaller than Mexico City.

Mexico City is the biggest city in the world.

3. Attitude

- Sts love talking about places using comparative and superlative adjectives.

- Show Ss a picture in which 3 buildings were drawn in 3 exactly different size

Ss: Look at the picture . Notice the

- Choose 3 Ss who have different height and ask them to stand before the class . Ask Ss to observe and tell about each one

Ss: Look at the board and repeat the new words as the teacher requested - Let Ss observe the 3 different adjectives . Ask them to say what the difference is and give the formation of the comparative and superlative form Ss: Observe and notice the difference of the phrases given.

- Have them copy the models and formations, and memorize.

Ss: take notes and learn by heart.

Step 2: Practice (10’)

*Word cue drill:

- Help Sts run through the wordcues - Model with one student

- Have Ss practice in whole class/ pairs - Correct the mistakes
