OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge:

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Pupils can ask and answer questions about places to work.

- Vocabulary: doctor, in a hospital / farmer, in a field / worker, in a factory / clerk, in an office

I I . PROCEDURES ( 35’)

Warm up: (5’): Ask ss to sing the song My family song. And ask ss to talk about jobs of their family member.

2. Presentation ( 30 mins)

Act 1 : Look, listen and repeat (8’)

* Set the scene:

- T uses the pictures of the dialogue on page 14(Student book 2) to lead Ss in the conversation - Ask students to look at the 4 pictures in the book and check comprehension by eliciting the answers for these questions.

- Play the recording all the way through for Ss to

* Practice.

- Tell Ss that they are going to practice asking and answering questions what are they doing.

- Ask ss to do in choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book.

- Pronounce the letter clusters ie in field and piece, and ea in teacher and reading.

- Listen and circle the correct words. Then say the sentences with the circled words.

- Say the chant Jobs and places of work.

- Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills:

- Listening, writing and speaking.

3. Core competencies & Personal qualities

- Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.

- Studious and obedient students and love their family.

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.(10’)

-Introduce the sounds of letter ie and ea - Ps’ attention on the letters colored differently in the words field, piece, teacher and reading. Ss learn to produce the sound of the letters “ ie” in these words

- Listen and repeat. Read in groups in pairs.

- Ps practice the sounds carefully

- Some Ss reports the answer. The rest of the class listen and give comments.

- Ask ss to find some other words with the sound have learnt.

- Ask ss to practice reading the words and sentences.

- Do the same with the sound of letter ea

*Activity 2. Listen and circle. Then say sentences with circled.(10’)

- Run through the task then tell ss that they are going to listen and circle the words they hear.

- Listen to the recording 2 times and circle.

- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partners.

- Check and correct.

- Ask ss to practise saying the words circled

- Game: Ask ss to play game slap the board with the souds have learn: field, piece, teaching, reading, meat.

- Tell the class that they are going to answer some questions about the rooms in the house.

- Give them time to think about what to write.

( T can help ss if necessary) +While- writing

- Set a time limit for them to do the task independently. Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary.

- Remind them to write the first letter of each sentence and the name in capital letters, and put commas and full stops at the right places.

- Get them to swap and read their writing in
