Unit 12: Let’s eat Lesson 1: A1-2

A. Objectives:

1. Aims:

- Understand the text about Hoa and her aunt, responses with "too, either, so, neither"

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand the details of a text and practice food vocabulary and So do I / I do, too/ Neither do I / I don’t, either..

2. Practice skill:

- practice the comprehension reading skill, writing and speaking skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Understand the text and complete Hoa and her aunt's shopping list, practice food vocabulary and So do I / I do, too/ Neither do I / I don’t, either..

+ Advanced knowledge: In the role of Hoa and her aunt, practice the dialogue.

4. Basic language:

- Vocabulary: spinach, cucumber, durian, papaya, (to) hate, (to) smell - structure: So do I / I do, too/ Neither do I / I don’t, either..

5. Attitude:

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice reading for details, doing some exercises.

B. Teaching- aids:

- T models, Ss’repetition : chorus - individual.

- T writes the model sentences on the board.

Activity 2: Practice( 15’) Picture drill.

- T uses the pictures and sticks them on the board

A. Objectives:

1. Aims:

- Listen for specific information to complete the story.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand why Ba had to go to the doctor’s by listening.

2. Practice skill:

- Practice listening skill and writing skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Listen for specific information to complete the story.

+ Advanced knowledge: Recall the text and discuss about the food and hygiene.

4. Basic language:

- The tense: past simple.

- Structure: make somebody feel better.

5. Attitude:

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice listening.

B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, tape.

C. Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work.

- Set the class in groups of 6. Each group has a secretary. Write their answers on the poster .
