I. AIMS

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students can be able to:

- Recognize and pronounce the letter Qq and its sound correctly - Understand, recognize and say the three Qq words

- Write the letter Qq

2. Skills:  Develop Ss listening, reading, writing and speaking skill 3. Attitude:

1. Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, smart class.

- Communicative approach.

Techniques:+ Work individually, in pairs/ groups.

1. Organization:

- Greetings:  T – Ss greet each other.         

 - Checking attendance: Who’s  absent today?       Ss: Answer

2.Warm up: (5’)

- Put up the phonics cards from the previous unit (pen,parrot, panda, pony) on the board.

- Write the first and last letter below each phonics card.

- Ask individual students to come to the board and complete the words.

- Ask the rest of the class for verification.

- Use gestures to help students to understand the meanings of the three words.

- Stick the cards on board and have students repeat the words chorally several times (in the correct order and then in any order).

- Call some students to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)

- Ask the students to open their books and colour in the letters

- Divide the class into two teams, team A and team B.

- Put one of the phonics cards (e.g: queen) on the board.

- Ask a student from Team A to identify the sound (one point), the picture (one point) or both (two points).

- Continue with a student from Team B.

-Write the points for each team on the board.

- Give feedback

Activity 2. Listen and point. Colour (Track21)(8’) Point to the teacher and say: Ask a question!

Have students listen and repeat.

Have students look at the book and listen to the words: a question, a queen, a quilt

- Ask them to read the questions and think of possible answers, using the pictures cues. After that, have them write the appropriate answers. Get ss to work in pairs, if necessary.

- Give them time to do the task independently. Go around offering help, if necessary.

- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class. If there is enough time, call some pairs to act

Lesson 1: 1+2+3 I. AIMS:

-1. Knowledge:

By the end of the lesson pupils can use the words and phrasers related to the topics future activities , ask and  answer questions about  where someone will be ,using   Where will you be this weekend ?I think I’ll be at home

out the complete dialogues.

c. Post writing

- Ask Ps to ask and answer aloud.

* Activity 3: Let’ s sing.(7’)

- Tell ss that they are going to sing the song Can you swim? Teach the song, following the produre in teaching the unit components in Introduction.

- Have them read each line of the lyrics aloud. Check comprehension.

- Play the recording all the way through. Ask ss to do choral and individual repetition of the song line by l i n e u n t i l t h e y g e t f a m i l i a r i z e d w i t h t h e pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the song.

- Play the recording again and get Ps to sing along with the recording.

- Divide the class into two groupss, one sings the questions and the other sings the answers.
