LESSON 1: PART 1, 2 I. AIMS:

1. Knowledge:

- By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to say greeting eachother.

- Sentence patterns: A: Good morning, B.

- Vocabulary: good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, good bye, see, again.

2. Skills: Listening-reading-speaking-writing.

3. Attitude: Educate Sts to love their lesson.

II. TEACHING AIDS:

1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.

2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

Check the total: Greet the class by saying Hello/ Hi. How are you?

- Ask Ss to sing a song Hello (Unit 1 Tieng Anh 3) and clap your hands.

- Introduce smt about the theme.

3. New lesson:

* Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat.

- Ask to guess what topic they say in the picture - We are going to read a story to ask and answer question about greetings.

- Ask students to look at the two pictures to discuss the context in which the language is used.

- Ask pupils to answer some questions such as Who are they? Where are they? And What are they talking about? In the picture. Check comprehension.

Play the recording a few times, ask students listen and repeat. Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.

- Ask pupils to do chorally and individually.

- Ask pupils to practise in pairs.

- Repeat the same produre with the rest of the pictures (b, c, d ).

- Ask a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.

- Ask pupils to swap their answers. Monitor the activity and offer help. If necessary.
