The 1993 passage of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) in the United States (US) increased attention to documenting effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of programs, and led federal agencies to set goals for program performance [ 7]. In contrast, Lab D did not meet the % recovery goal for 2 of the estuarine microcystins 2020 NCCA Wave 1 PT samples.

Ecotoxicology

The organism's response to this toxicant is compared to the acceptable response range previously determined by the laboratory for the test organism and test method. Control charts are developed based on several reference toxicity tests for a given test species and test method to document the acceptable range of toxicity response [46].

Introduction

The quality control process in road pavements follows the examination and testing of composite materials towards meeting the exact specifications and quality required. Lack of quality control checks has often resulted in poor quality results and poor craftsmanship [6].

Road construction and quality practice

The virtual lack of quality controls in road construction projects can be traced back to road defects in the form of cracks, potholes, bumps and potholes. On heating, the water content in the sample is collected from condensation and expressed as a percentage of the weight of the original sample.

Methodology

In this case, instead of the Laplacian integral, the Weibull distribution is predicted in the gamma function.

Results and discussion

Weibull reliability test for road width deterioration in Lucky Way, Mission Road, New Benin Road, Ogida Road, Ring Road,.

Weibull reliability test for the deterioration of the width of the roads in Lucky Way, Mission Road, New Benin Road, Ogida Road, Ring Road,

There was a sharp deterioration (reduction in reliability status) of road widths on Lucky Way, Mission Road, New Benin Road, Ogida, Unaza, Sapele, Technical College Road and Textile Mill Road after 225 days. Weibull reliability test for road depth deterioration unfortunate road, mission road, new benin road, Ogida road, ring road, Sapele.

Weibull reliability test for the deterioration of the depth of the roads in lucky way, Mission road, new Benin road, Ogida road, ring road, Sapele

There has been a sharp rate of deterioration (decrease in the reliability status) of the depth of the roads Lucky Way, Mission Road, New Benin. Weibull reliability test for the deterioration of the length of the roads in Lucky Way, Mission Road, New Benin Road, Ogida Road, Ring Road, Sapele Road, Technical College Road and Textile Mill Road.

Conclusion

This shows that the tendency of road length deterioration increases after 140 days. A graph of the reliability test showing the trend of reliability (probability that the length of the road does not deteriorate at time t) with time is given in Figure 18.

Recommendation

It is very important that the quality properties of the yarn are kept correct and stable so that the rest of the steps are good. If the machine adjustments are correct to begin with, then the scope of the control charts will only be sensitive to certain causes.

Spinning mill

In this case, the type of yarn, the characteristics of the yarn, the type of fibers used to make the yarn will not be considered, except for the yarn count. Since yarn count is one of the adjustments made to the spinning frame, this will be considered in the remainder of this chapter.

If jZ0 ≻Zα=2 then H0 is rejected, Zα=2 is the upper α=2 percentile point of the standard normal distribution at a fixed two-sided significance level. If jZ0 ≻Zα=2 then H0 is rejected, Zα=2 is the upper α=2 percentile point of the standard normal distribution at a fixed two-sided significance level.

Proposed statistical approach

If it cannot be rejected, the procedure continues by going back to the SF 3 and making some more adjustments on the frame and repeating this test until the H0of variance of yarn count is rejected. If it cannot be rejected, the procedure continues by going back to the SF 4 and making some more adjustments on the frame and repeating this test until the H0of variance of yarn count is rejected.

Conclusion

Aims and objectives

The purpose of this chapter is to provide background information on aspects of quality control required in the production of leather products. In addition, this research aims to highlight the importance of quality control and quality aspects in the subsector of the manufacturing of leather products.

Literature review

Quality parameters

It is the effective service life of the product that the customer wants over a long period of time, e.g. Compliance: it is used to evaluate whether the product or service meets the specification.

Quality control and quality assurance

If the product is not properly installed or maintained and fails as a result, the failure is often associated with the quality of the product and not the quality of service it receives. This is due to the fact that product quality is ensured at every stage to produce the final product of the desired quality [6].

Quality inspection and testing

Further, the thread used in the bobbin (bottom thread) and sewing machine (top thread) also affects the quality of the final product. This confirms product quality and allows any necessary changes to be addressed early, thus reducing rework time and costs.

Results and analysis

  • Leather goods common quality parameters
  • Most commonly used types of testing
  • Factors that influence the quality of leather goods and garments
  • Defects in goods and garments manufacturing .1 Defects and their types
  • Part five: Finishing in leather products manufacturing

Finishing in the manufacture of leather products can be classified according to the nature of the finish, such as the Kawabata Fabric Evaluation System-KES-FB and performance scale (ISO11644:2009). Wet and soapy: the edge of the leather can be wet using a sponge or a piece of cut wool leather.

Discussion

Conclusion and further work

Meaning of "Quality Control" in the Production of Leather Goods and Apparel DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5772/intechopen.104494. The reason lies in the fact that there is almost no recognized or approved reference process in which defined requirements serve as a quality control measure.

Related work

In addition, a closed two-dimensional path is planned for each of the layers, which includes the printhead speeds set by the user. To the authors' knowledge, no publication currently exists that defines a generic reference process in which quality gates serve as quality control requirements to prevent misprints.

Defects in additive manufacturing

Pre-process defects

Two distinctions can be made between affected features: A vertically standing wall whose width is smaller than the extrusion line width and a feature parallel to the building plate, whose height is smaller than the layer height. Conversely, if the layer height is smaller than the thinnest feature and the line width is smaller than the wall depth, then the cut result matches the expectation of the.

In-process defects .1 Warping

During the course of a print, all of the final parts' material must pass through the nozzle. Other causes may be burnt residual material inside the nozzle due to an excessive extrusion temperature.

Post-process defects and quality measures

The hot spot provides a continuous stream of liquid material whose flow is influenced by the feeder. Destructive assessments include tensile, shear and compressive strengths, while bulk density can be measured using a scale.

The reference process starts with the CAD of the product to be. The main purpose of the quality management processes is to ensure the efficient performance of the logistics services.

Research methods

Stages of Taguchi’s method application for this study

Using the methods used, this study analyzes the contribution to quality improvement of the costs linked to the prevention and avoidance of deviant quality, to quality evaluation and control, and to covering the costs of deviant quality of the logistics services. The relationship between these cost groups in quality management has been identified using structural modelling, which helps to determine the cost's contribution to achieving sustainable quality of logistics services.

Method for collection of data for analysis

The objective of the study is to analyze the contribution to the total cost of prevention costs related to quality control in logistics, with an emphasis on the need to implement priority preventive measures to ensure the provision of logistics services that meet the client's quality requirements. We summarized the collected data for the last two-year period in tables in order to clearly show the potential impact and the actual improvement of the economic result.

Evaluation collection method and discussion method

After the final data of the studied two-year period was collected (before and after the introduction of the changes in the cost structure), that data was summarized and presented in Table 1. The change in the cost structure based on the predefined three groups allowed for the practical application of Taguchi's principle that the non-conforming logistics service cannot be improved by the process of controlling or covering the losses of the non-conformity after the service was rendered.

Results

The influence of the increase in the cost for non-conforming logistics services was assessed as negative. It has been practically demonstrated that the cost of eliminating the variation in the target function is very high.

Conclusion

This chapter aims to describe the ISO 22000 system - widely used for quality management in the food industry. Recent research suggests that most microbial contamination of food in the food market occurs in developing countries rather than developed countries.

The food supply chain and food contamination

The ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system

The mandatory verification and testing of the traceability system's effectiveness exists in the ISO version. However, in the ISO version, the clause is placed at the beginning of the title.

Process approach and risk-based thinking

No relevant changes were found in the system endpoint (FSMS update). This "norm" also applies to all types and sizes of organizations in the food industry.

Uses of the PDCA cycle in the food industry

Implementation of corrective actions could include retesting food products, validating and observing procedures, and auditing food safety records to ensure certain employees follow procedures. In the last phase, the effectiveness of corrective measures and preventive measures is reviewed and the effectiveness and success of corrective measures is determined.

Conclusions

Performance of food safety management systems in African food processing plants: an overview of shortcomings and possible improvement strategies. The hygienic conditions of catering establishments and food safety knowledge and practices of food processors in the city of Bahir Dar.
