PREFACE
Re: The special issue on singularity theory and its applications
Dear Editors, Reviewers, Authors, and Readers:
This special issue of the Dalat University Journal of Science is dedicated to the International Colloquium on Singularity Theory and Its Applications, which was hosted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Dalat University, Vietnam, from November 16 to 18, 2020. The colloquium was held in honor of Professor Ha Huy Vui on his seventieth birthday and Professor Ta Le Loi on his sixtieth birthday.
Carefully peer-reviewed and selected from many manuscripts presented at the col- loquium, the ten papers in this special issue cover a wide range of topics, highlighting the impressive breadth of research on singularity theory and its applications in Vietnam and worldwide. We hope that this special issue not only brings our university’s research to the world but also provides an incentive for further collaborations with researchers from all over the world.
On behalf of the guest editorial board, we would like to express our gratitude to the authors for their contributions and to the referees for the conscientious work they contributed to this special issue. We thank all the participants, and particularly the keynote speakers, who made the colloquium successful.
Last, but not least, we are grateful to Dalat University for providing the facilities and financing the colloquium.
With best regards, Dang Tuan Hiep Le Quy Thuong
