A b s tra c t. Photonuclear reactions formed via the irradiation of bremsstrahlung beam with end-point energy of 65 MeV from LINAC (Pohang, Korea) are presented.

1. E x p e r im e n t

W ith h ig h e n e rg y b e am from a cc elera to r, m a n y re a c tio n s a p p e a r; th is is a very good chance for p ro d u c e ra d io a c tiv e isotopes. In t h is p a p e r , som e p h o to n u c le a r reactions fo rm ed via t h e i r r a d i a t i o n of b r e m s s t r a h l u n g b e a m from LINAC (Pohang- Korea) are p r e s e n te d .

1.1. I r r a d i a t i o n

The 65 M eV b r e m s s t r a h l u n g w ere p ro d u ce d by b o m b a r d in g e le ctro n beam (accelerated up to 65 MeV) in to T u n g s te n t a r g e t (W). T h is b r e m s s t r a h l u n g beam was used to i r r a d i a t e a T i 0 2 po w d er . T he T i 0 2 p o w d e r s a m p le w a s c o n ta in e d in a cylinder w ith h = 5 m m , d = 10 m m . A sc h em a tic d ia g r a m of t h e e x p e r im e n ta l set-up is showed in Fig. 1.

The T1O2 p o w d e r w a s i r r a d i a t e d for 2.0 h w ith 65 M eV b r e m s s t r a h l u n g beam a n d pulse e le c tro n b e a m w a s 40 mA. T h e sa m p le w a s fixed a t one position.
