A. Aims of the lesson:

1. Knowledge:

- The end of this lesson, Ss will be able to understand more words that are used in advertisement about English courses.

*. Language contents:

a) Vocabulary: beginner, intermediate, advanced , well – qualified b) Grammar:

- How to take note / read the advertisement.

2. Skills:

- Practice reading the passage then use the information from passage to answer questions.

*. Kỹ năng sống:

- Thông qua bài học rèn cho h/s kỹ năng tìm kiếm và sử lý thông tin trong bài đọc.

- Đồng thời gd cho h/s kỹ năng tìm kiếm sự hỗ trợ từ phía GV để hoàn thành bài đọc.

- Biết kiểm soát cảm xúc của bản thân và ứng phó với căng thẳng khi trước mặt là một bài đọc dài và khó. Tự tìm kiếm sự hỗ trợ và hợp tác với bạn bè để đọc được bài và hiểu nội dung bài đọc.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know about the form of the letter and notices of a formal letter .

a. Vocab: request, detail, look forward to, express, edition, exactly b. Grammar: review the simple past tense.

2. Skills:

- Practice write a letter to request for information about the course to learn English.

- Improve the writing skill.

*. Giáo dục kĩ năng sống:

- Giúp h/s có khả năng tư duy, sáng tạo, tự suy nghĩ và viết bài Tiếng Anh theo cấu trúc câu vừa học trong bài.

- Giáo dục kỹ năng hợp tác, chia sẻ thông tin cùng bạn bè để hoàn thành nhiệm vụ.

- Rèn luyện kĩ năng quản lý và phân chia thời gian cho các phần của bài học một cách hợp lý nhất là thời gian cho phần luyện tập viết bài.

- T divides the class into two teams. T asks Ss from 2 teams to go to the board and write the correct words. The team which is faster with more correct words will win the game.

- T says “ A letter of requite is a requests for information or action.

Letter of requite is a kind of formal letters. And in all formal letters, you must include the addresses of the writer and the recipient. Beside, you must adopt strike regulations about the format and structure of the letter.

- T hangs “Formal Letters format”

on the board and explains .

- Ss listen carefully and take note.

- T asks Ss to read John Robinson’s letter sending to the Language Center. To attend a English course.

- Ss read and find new words.

- T gives new words on the board.

- Ss guess meaning of new words.

- T reads new words twice and Ss listen carefully and repeat.
