PERIOD 57 UNIT 9:WHAT COLOUR IS IT?

LESSON 2: (PART 4-5-6)

I.AIMS

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson pupils can use the word and phrases related to the topic Colours.

- Can ask and answer questions about the colour of school things, using What colour is it/ are they?

Vocabulary: blue, white, yellow, brown, green, orange, black, red, bookcase Sentence Patterns: What colour is your box? It’s red

What colour are your pencils? They’re green 2. Skills: Develop Ss reading, writing and listening skills

3.Attitude:-Educate Sts to love their lesson.

- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction

- Call on some Ss to report their answers.

Others listen and comment.

Post-reading:

- Make a few questions to check Ss’

Activity 6: (10’)

Tell pupils that they are going to sing the song:

My new pen

Teach the song, following the procedure in the teaching the unit components in the introduction.

- Sing each line of the lyrics and have pupils repeat it a few times. When pupils are familiar with the tune, show them how to sing the song and do the actions.

- Get groups of pupils to sit face and practice singing and doing the actions.

- Have the whole class sing the song and do the actions to reinforce learning
