A.Objectives:

1. Aims:

- Read the text about Lan to complete her invitation card and write about future plans.

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read the text about Lan to complete her invitation card and write about future activities.

2. Practice skill:

- practice reading, speaking and writing skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Understand the reading, complete Lan's invitation card, write answers with "will" to talk about future activities.

+ Advanced knowledge: Write a passage about themselves and their friends.

Make some questions to ask others about the content of the writing.

4. Basic language:

- Vocabulary: to invite, to join, party, to hope - Structure: She will be 13 on her next birthday.

Lucky number - Write ten numbers on the board from 1 to 10.

- Tell ss each number is for a questibut 4 of them are lucky numbers. If they choose a lucky number, they do not need to answer any question but they get 2 points and they canchoose another number. If their answer is correct they will get one point.

- Devide the class into two teams. The team takes turn to choose the numbers.

- Tell students that they have to answer about personal information.

III. New lesson( 35’) Step 1: Pre – writing ( 5’) 1. Vocabulary

1. Gap-fill (B6.P27)

- Set the scence: Lan is going to have a birthday party at her house. She wants to invite you to her birthday party. You have to help her to complete the invitation card to Lan’ party using the informationfrom the answers to complete the invitation card.

2. Writing

- Ask ss to imagine they will be a guess at Lan’s birthday party.

- Give students the question B7 on p. 27 - Ask students to work in pairs to answer the questions

- Give feed back

- Ask ss to join the answers in full sentences to form a paragraph Possible answer

“ I’ll go to Lan’s house to join in her birthday party. I’ll give her a beautiful doll as a birthday present.I’ll take a bus to Lan’s house because it’s about 3 kms from my house to hers. In the party, we’ll chat to one another and we’ll watch an interesting film on video. We’ll also sing some songs. We’ll eat fruits and cakes, and drink some coke. I think we will leave her home at 9 pm”

- Each group sticks their poster on the board.

- Teacher corrects and chooses the most beautiful one.
