Lesson 1 (1.2) I. Objectives

1. Knowledge:

By the end of this lesson, Students will be able to asking and answering about what someone likes doing.

New words: swimming. collecting. cooking. riding a bike, playing.

2. Skills: Develop speaking and listening skill.

- Problem solving and creativity II. Teaching aids:

T: Pictures, books, recording, computer.

SS: Ss’ book, notebook.

III.Procedure:

1. Warm up.(4’)

Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by asking a group of fve pupils to go to the front of the class and sing the song This is the way. Have the class sing along and do actions.

Ask Ss to open their book on page 46 and describe 2 pictures

Who are they? – They are Nama and Linda

? What are they talking about?

-You are going to listen the dialogue between them.

Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation.

Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by calling some pupils to the front of the class to sing the song I like doing things. The class may sing the last four lines as a whole, clapping hands.

-Have Ss open the book pa ge 48 and identify the characters in the pictures.

-Set the scene: you are going to hear 3 conversations between Nam and Linda.

-Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are reading the dialogue.

-Play the recording again for Ss to repeat each line of the dialogue a few times.

-Ask the groups to repeat the dialogue and swap

-Have Ss practice the dialogue in pairs.

-Call on some pairs to perform, others comment.

-Correct the mistakes.
