UNIT 12: LET’S EAT

LESSON 4: OUR FOOD: B2 (Page: 120) A. Aims of the lesson :

1. Knowledge:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read comprehension and further practice in indefinite quantifiers “a little, a lot of, too much, plenty of, ...”.

- After the lesson Ss know how to keep healthy by play sports and eat sensibly.

*. Language focus:

a) Structure: Review form; Why / why not – Because.

b) New words: an amount of, a diet, balanced, moderate, energy, (to) effect, lifestyle, diary product.

2. Skills:

- Practice read the text to understand detail of text.

*. Kĩ năng sống cần giáo dục:

- Rèn luyện kĩ năng giao tiếp một cách thuần thục trong khi hỏi và trả lời theo cặp.

- Kĩ năng kiểm soát cảm xúc và tự nhận biết, xác định giá trị của bài học.

3. Attitude:

- Actively read and search for information to answer questions at the end of the article.

- Be bold in practicing reading text as well as answering questions.

4. Knowledge should be achieved:

+ Average students: Summarize what is a balanced and reasonable diet.

- Students read comprehension, practice reading proficiency and answer questions after the reading.

+ Good students: Students tell a summary of the reading based on the answers.

- Students relate to themselves and their families, practice writing menus and diets for themselves and their families.

5. Teach for students with disabilities:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice listening skills for specific information.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen for details and food vocabulary.

- Students know how to develop the topic of food, write a menu to ensure nutritional balance through listening comprehension activities.

- Structure: Review the past simple tense.

2. Skills:

- Practice listening skill to find the information.

- Practice write down information you hear.

*. Kĩ năng sống cần giáo dục:

Teacher uses the cassette .Ss listen and check their predictions.

For her lunch , Lan had beef with noodles and vegetables. She had juice too. Ba chose fish and rice and some fruit. He drank some water. Nga ate rice and vegetables and drank juice . Hoa had noodles and some fruit . She had juice, too .
