Date of preparation: Period 64 Unit 10: HEALTH AND HYGIENE

Lesson 3 – Section A. PERSONAL HYGIENE (A4 + Remember )

I.Objectives : By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to write a letter and practice in pronunciation of ED – ending.

- For handicapped student - Nguyen Ba The in class 7A, he will be able to practice pronounciating in some regular verbs in the past.

1.Language contents :

* Vocabulary: polish, change, drink, get …

* Grammar : The past simple tense.

2.Skills: Listening, reading, writing

3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder

II.Teaching aids : Lesson plan, text book, poster, picture, flashcards.

1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan

2.Students: Book, workbookreview the old lesson, preview vocabularies

III.Techniques: Rub Out and Remember, Word cue drill, Open prediction, projector.

2.Checking the old lesson: (3’)

T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes

Step 1.Warm -up

Ask Ss to work in pairs to pracitce asking and answering about everyday activities.

- Call some pairs to practice in front of the class.

- T can call Thế- a handicapped child in class 7A ask and answer question 1

-Check if necessary.

1. Pair work(5’)

+ What time do you get up ? + What do you do at 7 o’clock ? + Do you often go to school at 7.15 ?

- Let Ss think of the regular verbs that they’ve learnt.

- Ask Ss to go to the board and write the past form of regular verbs

- Ask Ss to put the verbs (they get from brainstorming) into three groups according to the pronunciation of the ED-ending

- Ask Ss to copy down into their notebooks.

Step 2.Presentation

- Ask Ss some questions to recall them Hoa’s mom’s letter.

- Introduce the situation with a reference to the letter at the beginning of the letter

Ss: Listen and notice what was written in the letter.

Step 3.Practice

- Have Ss read through the letter to catch the over all meaning.

- Ask Ss to read Hoa’s letter and complete it with suitable words

- Have Ss word in pairs to complete the letter Hoa writes to her mom.

- Have some Ss read the letter in front of the class

Lesson 4 – Section B: A BAD TOOTHACHE ( B1 + B2 )

I.Objectives: By the end of this period, ss will be able to make a question “ why” and give the answer with “ because” and master the content of the dialogue.

- For handicapped student - Nguyen Ba The in class 7A, he will be able to understand the way to use “why” – question.

1.Language contents:

* Grammar : - Structure: Why …? Because …

* Vocabulary: appointment, drill, fill, cavity, hurt, hate…

2.Skills: Listening, speaking

3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder
