Unit 7 Letter T Lesson 1
I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge: After the lesson, Ss will be able to recognize and pronounce the letter N and its sound correctly, understand, recognize and say the three T words.

1. Warm up (2’)
- Put up the phonics cards from the previous unit on the board.
- Write the first and last letters of each word below each card.
- Ask the students to complete the missing letters.
- Ask the individual students to come to the board and write the missing letters.
2. New lesson

- T write on board the letter T to introduce to the students the new lesson.
- Instruct students how to pronounce the letter name and the letter sound
- T has Ss repeat several times and check students’ pronunciation

- T uses the phonics cards with tree, tent, tiger read the words out loud and has students repeat.

understand the meanings of the three words.
- Stick the cards on board and have students repeat the words chorally several times (in the correct order and then in any order).
- Ss: read in chorus
- Call some students to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)
- Ask the students to open their books and colour in the letters
Activity 2: Sound and Word Game (3’) - Divide the class into two teams, team A and
team B.
- Put one of the phonics cards (e.g: nut) on the board.
- Ask a student from Team A to identify the sound (one point), the picture (one point) or both (two points).
- Continue with a student from Team B.
- Write the points for each team on the board.
- Give feedback
Activity 3:( (10 mins)
- T has Ss look at the book and listen to the words: a tree, a tent, a tiger
- Ss: look and listen
- T has Ss listen and repeat the words for several times.
- Ss: listen and repeat - T asks Ss: Is it a nut?
- Ss: answer yes/no
- T has Ss to point to the corresponding item in the picture.
- Ss: +listen and point
+repeat with the rest of the items in random order.
- T gives Ss 3 minutes to colour the picture by using any colour they like.
- Go around the classroom asking students to name the item they are colouring.
Activity 4: (10mins)
- Use the phonics cards on the board and have students sing the chant with tree. Do the same with tent and tiger.

3.Chant and show!
- Do the chant again using gestures for each word.
- Give feedback
III.Production (5mins)
Activity : Letter Writing Race Game - Ask the students to open their notebooks.
- Give the students 2 minutes to write as many Ss’s as they can.
- The winner is the student who has written the most.
4. Consolidation: (2’)
- Call Ss to retell what they’ve learn - Practice at home.

Unit 7 Letter T Lesson 2
I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read and say the three T words correctly recognize and say a new T word correctly
2. Skills: listening, speaking,
3. Attitude: Ss like studying English II. Teaching aids:
T: Pictures, books, flash card SS: Ss’ book, activity book III. Method: MAT, TPA.
IV. Procedure:
1.Organization: (1’) - Greeting

2. Warm up (2’)
- Show the phonics cards, ask students to do corresponding actions then say the sound of the letter and words.
3. New lesson

- T plays the CD. Have the students listen to the story once.

- Play the CD again. The students listen and point to the pictures of the key words when they hear them in the story

- T reads the printed words then let Ss look at the pictures and say the words.

- Ask students work in pairs. One reads while the other checks, then they change roles

Activity 2: (5 mins)
- T point to and says the sight words: look, a, in, and then has Ss repeat
- T has some students read them aloud.
- Ss: read aloud
Activity 3 (10 mins)
- T asks Ss open the book p.72 look unit 7 then asks them read the song
- Ss: read in chorus
- T follows the same procedure and presents the rest of the song.
- T plays the CD.
- Ss: listen and sing along.
- T plays the CD again. The students sing and do corresponding actions.
Activity 4: Jumping Game (7 mins) - Put a line of masking tape on the floor - Designate one side True and the other False
T holds up a phonics card (e.g a tiger) and say:

- T holds up another phonics card (e.g: nut) and say: nest
- Ss: jump on the False side.
- T does the same with another phonics card
