LESSON 4: READ

A. Aims of the lesson:

1. Knowledge:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to get the information from simple tourist advertisements.

*. Language focus:

a. Vocabulary: tourist vocabulary, off shore, Island, flights, waterfall, tribal village, world heritage.

b. Grammar: V-Ed/ V-ing participles.

2. Skills:

- Improve the reading skills to get information about the place direction and some places of interest in Vietnam

*. Kĩ năng sống cần giáo dục:

- Rèn kĩ năng tự tin khi đặt câu hỏi yêu cầu hoặc trả lời khi có ai đó hỏi. Biết đối phó với căng thẳng để tìm ra những phương pháp phù hợp nhất giải quyết công việc theo từng trường hợp.

- Phối kết hợp cùng bạn bè để thực hành theo cặp, đôi hỏi và trả lời các câu hỏi.

- Khi không có sự gợi ý hoặc bản đồ thì tư duy và đưa ra những cách chỉ đường đơn giản mà dễ hiểu nhất.

3. Attitude:

- Ss can understand the beautiful, interesting places of Vietnam and love their country.

4. Knowledge should be achieved:

a) Qualified: Listening comprehension and giving the simplest directions.

b) Advanced: On the sentence structure, practice, make a map of the way from home to school.

5. Teach for student with disabilities:

- Teach student will be able to read the passage about tourist advertisements then get the information to decide where go to travelling.

- Student with disabilities can listening and repeat the new words of the lesson.

- Understand the meaning of text about the place direction and some places of interest in Vietnam.

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know how to write a narrative.

*. Language focus:

a. Vocabulary: read and write the following words correctly: canoe, paddle, hire, employ, over turn, rescuse, move up and down, lean, stumble, off shore Island, flights, waterfall, tribal village, world heritage....

b. Grammar: The simple tense; Conjunctions; adverbs of time.

2. Skills:

- Develop Ss’ Writing skill.

- Improve the writing skills to write about a narrative.

+ Use present and past participles to describe things and people.

+ Make and respond to formal requests using” mind” and make suggestions.

*. Language focus:

* Vocabulary: read and write the following words correctly: box, flowers, lamp, elephant, truck, bear, doll, rabit

* Language: using present and past participle: V-ing, V-II to describe things and people fluently.

2. Skills:

- improve the skill to do exercise using V-ing, V-II.
