Lesson 3: 1,2,3 (page 34) I. Objectives:

1. Knowledge :After the lesson Ss will be able to:

Pronounce two- and three-syllable words with the stress on the first syllable: 'seaside, 'islands and 'countryside

- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 2. Competencies:

-T sets the scene : they are going to listen to the recording and circle a or b to complete the sentences.

- T asks pupils a few seconds to read the sentences in silence before playing the recording for them to do the task.

-Ask Ss to compare with their partners

- Ask Ss to read the completed sentences aloud.
