UNIT 9: WHAT COLOUR IS IT?

Lesson 2:1,2,3(page 60) I. Objectives:

1. Knowledge

By the end of this lesson, Students will be able to ask and answer questions about school things

Vocabulary: here, desk

Sentence patterns: Is this/ that…..? Yes, it is/ No, it isn’t -Develop writing, speaking and listening skill

2. Competencies:

- Be able identify school things.

- Be self-conscious complete the exercises - Cooperation: (work in groups/ pairs) 3. Qualities:

- Love their school things

- Keep your school things clean and tidy.

- Ss love school subjects and colours II. Teaching- aids

1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, CD, computer.

2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

III. Procedure:

1.Organization (1’) : Greeting and warm up the class

*Activity 2 (10’)

-Tell pupils that they are going to practise asking and answering questions about the colours of school things.

a. Vocabulary

- T introduce some words by eliciting blue (picture)

- Ss: listen and repeat (chorally then individually).

- T writes down on the board - Ss: copy.

Set the sence: T asks to look at their book on page 60 - T: when Nam wants to know about the colour

of Mai’s box. How does he ask?

-Have Ss to repeat the sentences a few times before let them practice freely.

-Have Ss to work in pairs to practice .

- Call on a pair to demonstrate at the front of the class.

- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.
