LESSON 3 (P1,2,4,5) I. Objectives

1. Knowledge: At the end of the lesson Ss will be able to know how to say the intonation correctly.

3. Attitude: Ss like studying English II. Teaching aids:

- T introduces the rules of this game.

- T says that objects in Vietnamese for Ss slap.

The person who slap the right word first will get one point for his/her team.

- T checks points of each team to find the winner.

- Whole class congratulates.

Activity 1: Listen and repeat

- Ask about the intonation

- Write and introduce the intonation sentences - Produce the sounds in a few times. Ask Ss to repeat in a few times

- Teach these words in the sentence - Play CD and ask to repeat 2 times - Call a model student

- Give time for group work to do and practice Activity 2: Listen and circle. Then write and say aloud

- Have pupils look the missing sentences.

-Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to the dialogues and circle the correct answer in the blanks.

- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and choose the correct answers. Compare the answers with the partner.

- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T gives the answer:

- Have pupils read aloud the dialogue in pairs or groups for correction.

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’

comprehension of the listening text.

Activity 3: Read and do the tasks

-Ask Ss to say about the content of some ways to be safe at home

- Say the task and let Ss do individually - Give some new words:
