 Ss look at the pictures to identify the similarities and differences among them.

Ask Ss to read aloud the names of the school and their locations.

b. While-listening.

Ask Ss to listen to the recording and tick the correct pictures.

Play the recording (twice). Ss listen and tick.

Ss compare with the partner Call some Ss to give their answers

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, Students will be able to pronounce the sounds of the letters sch, sk and str in the words school, skipping and street respectively.

1. Knowledge

- Vocabulary: Review - Sentence patterns: Review 2. Language skills

- Read and identify specific information related to the theme Me and my friends.

- Identify and follow classroom instructions Ss compare with the partner

Ss give their answers.

c. Post writing.

-call 2 students to read aloud the complete sentence.

5. Let’s sing (8’)  Introduce the song.

Ss read the song

Playing the recording for Ss to repeat.

Ss sing in groups

The Ss sing and do the action.

Teacher reinforce their pronunciation

- Tell pupils that they are going to practise saying the sounds of the letters sch, sk and str in the words school, skipping and street respectively.

- First, put the letters sch, sk and str on the board.

Play the recording and ask pupils to repeat. a few times. Then write the words school, skipping and street, and the three sentences from the Pupil’s Book on the board.

- Play the recording more than once. Do choral and individual repetition of the sounds.

- Get some pupils to perform in front of the class.

Check as a class and correct the pronunciation + Ss find words with sounds of  sch, sk, str.

- Play a game: Jumble line - T guides how to play.

- Pupils that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and then write the words in the blanks.

b. While-listening

- Pupils listen to the recording and circle the appropriate options. Allow them time to do the task independently. Pupils listen to the recording more than once.

c. Post listening

- Give them time to write the words in the gaps independently. Have them swap their answers before checking as a class.

Ask Ss to read the sentences aloud.

*Activity 3. Let’s chant. (8’)

- Tell pupils that they are going to say the chant.

- Play the recording more than once, pupils to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.

- Put the class into two groups to practise chanting and doing actions.

- Call two pairs to the front of the class to chant and do actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.

from the text to fill the gaps.
