- T. elicits 5 words from sts . E.g: an orange, some water, a banana, some chicken, ...
- T. asks sts to choose one of them and write it down on a piece of paper and keep it secrete.
- T. calls one st to the front of the class and the other sts must ask questions to guess the word. The st who guesses correctly is the next one up.
E.g: S1: Would you like an orange?
S2: No, I wouldn’t
S3: Would you like some water?
S2:Yes, please.

I. Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : - buy food and drink
- talk about quantities and prices - express needs and wants.
II. Teaching aids : Textbook, pictures, posters, word cards, cassette . III. Procedure :
Lesson1: A1 Quantifiers (a kilo of...) and Containers (a bottle of..) to talk about things people buy at the store.
Lesson 2: A2 "How much ...? / How many...?" with "want" or "need" to talk about quantities for shopping.
Lesson 3 : A3-4 Listening for specific information about quantities for food shopping.
Lesson 4 : B1-3 Further practice in Offers and Requests for Food and Drink using "some", "a" and "an".
Lesson 5 : B4-5 Talking about the prices for Food and Drink using "How much…..?".

Activity 3. Pelmanism*
- Prepares 16 cards with numbers on one side, the verbs on the other and makes sure the verbs are mixed.
- Divides students into two teams and asks them to choose two numbers.
- Turns the cards over and see if they match" a dozen - eggs" , gives them one mark. If not, turns the cards over again and asks the next team.
Step 3 : Production : Activity1: Substitution Drill
- T writes the sentence on the board.
- T models the sentence with a student
* Teacher says:
