A.Objectives:

1. Aims:

- Know some kinds of rooms in a house and the names of the furniture.

- By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to know kinds of rooms in a house and the names of the furniture.

2. Practice skill:

- Practice comprehension reading, speaking and writing skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: Know the names of the furniture, Answer the questions about the house Hoa is living (a-d) and talk about their own house (e,f).

+ Advanced knowledge: Describe Hoa's house before class, Write about their house.

4. Basic language:

- Vocabulary: awful (a), lovely (a), bright (a), convinent (a), amazing (a), sink (n), tub (n),washing machine, dryer (n), refridgerator (n), dish washer (n), electric stove (n)

- Structure: There is / are………

5. Attitude:

- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice speaking, writing about kinds of rooms in the house and names of the furniture.

Shark attack:

- Cut out a shark and a school boy and girl on card - Draw some steps on the boar and the sea around the step

- Stick the boy / girl on top of the steps, and the shark in the sea - Draw 10 gaps for the word TELEVISION

- Get ss in teams (or ask them as a whole class )

to guess the letter in each gap. If their guess is right. They get one mark. If their guess is wrong, the boy/ girl has to step down

- Set the scene: Lan comes to Hoa's house for a visit. What are they talking to each other? Look at your book and listen - Let sts listen twice then ask them to practice saying the dialogue in open pairs then close pairs.

3. Comprehension questions: (a - d) - Ask sts to work in close pairs to answer the questions.

- Give feedback .

Step 2: Practice ( 15’)

1. True / False Repetition Drill - Show the picture on page 31

- Ask ss to tell the names of things in the picture

- Ask ss to look at the picture and listen to the teacher at the same time. If

teacher’s sentences are correct, they have to repeat. Stusents have to keep silent if teacher’s sentences are false
