LESSON 3 (1): NEW WORDS, LISTENING, USEFUL LANGUAGE (Page 60) Time: 45 minutes

I. THE AIMS OF THE LESSON.

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about famous kings, queens, and battles from their country.

- Students pratice listening, and speaking for general and specific informationabout famous kings, queens, battles and Alexander the Great

1. Activity 1: Warm up (6 minutes)

a) Objective: Help students review using: The Past Simple.

b) Content:Write some sentences with the Past Simple.

c) Products: Students remember and know how to use the Past Simple in specific situations.

1. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to read a movie review about a famous person from history in a movie, ask and answer about People from History and write a paragraph about a historical movie.

- Students can practice reading, speaking and writing a short paragraph about a movie review

- Students form and develop competencies: the ability to autonomy and selfstudy, the ability to communicate and cooperate, to solve problems and tocreate, the ability to develop communication skills and creativity, demonstrate teamwork skills
