Step 1: Pre - writing 1. Chatting:

- Talk to Ss about taking a telephone message by asking some questions.

2. Pre-teach vocabulary:

- Rubs out the words one at a time.

- When all the English words are rubbed out , goes through the Vietnamese list and gets students to call the English words.

- Ask students to work in pairs to read the message and fill in the gaps in the passage on page 23.

- Give feedback.
