Revision of adverbs of frequency.
- Elicit the adverbs of frequency, make a list on the board and ask them some questions with " How often...?"
III. New lesson(33’)
Step 1: Pre - speaking (8’)
* Brainstorming:
- Ask Ss to work in two teams, writing their ideas on the blackboard
* Possible answers:
- Speak English to friends in class - Do grammar exercises
- Read English stories
- Read English newspapers / magazines - Listen to the English radio program
Step 2: While - speaking(15’)
* Survey:
- Have Ss read the questions and words in the boxes.
- Ask sts to work in pairs, asking their partners questions and taking notes of the answers . Sts can ask more with " How often....?" for the question 1.
- Ask sts to report to the class about their friends.
Step 3: Post - speaking(10’)
* Write it up:
- Ask sts to write a paragragh about the friends they have interviewed in the
"survey".
* Revision of adverbs of frequency
Eg: How often do you go swimming?
