Sing a song
1. Look, listen and repeat: (12’)
Tell pupils that they are going to listen to Mai and Phong talking about where theywant to go to and what they is going to buy.
Ask Ps to look at the pictures in the book and ask:
Who are they in the pictures?
What is Mai doing?
Where are they?
Play the recording three times for pupils to listen and repeat in choral, pointing to the characters speaking

Play the recording again for them to listen and repeat in lines
Call two Ps to role play 2. Point and say: (12’)
Tell pupils that they are going to practice making and respondingto suggestions to go somewhere, using
Let’s go to the ……… I want to ………
Great idea!/ Sorry. I’m busy.
Have them look at the bubbles and the pictures to understand how the language is used in different contexts.
Elicit the meaning of the new words:
sweet, chocolate, medicine, pharmacy, bakery, bookshop
Point to picture a, model the task with one pupil:
Let’s go to the bakery. I want to buy some bread.
Let pupils repeat chorally and individually.
Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the pictures
Tell them to practice asking and
answering the question in pairs in five minutes, using the prompts in the
bubbles and the words under the picture.
Call five pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. Check and correct pronunciation, if necessary.
3. Work in pairs. Ask your partners about holidays and festivals in Viet Nam and other countries:

Revise the previous lesson. Call two pupils to the front of the class. Give them a picture of a place such as Supermarket, bookshop, bakery, pharmacy… and let them make and respond suggestions
2. Listen and tick: (10’)
Tell pupils that they are going to listen to 4dialogues about the places that Phong, Linda, Mai and Tony want to go to and what they want.
Have pupils look at the pictures to identify the name of places.
Play the recording two times. Ask pupils to listen to the recording and tick the correct pictures

Tell pupils that they are going complete the suggestions, using the picture cues

Have them read the words under each picture and write the missing ones.
Get pupils five minutes to do the task individually. Go around and offer help, if necessary.
Get pupils to give their answer.
