Date of preparing: Period 69 Unit 11: What do you eat

Lesson 5: B4-5 A. The aims and objectives:

1.The aims: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to ask and answer about prices of food and drink.

2. Practice skill:

- Practice listening skill, writing skill, speaking skill, reading skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: What would you like for breakfast? - I'd like ...

How much is a fried rice? - It's 10.000đ.

+ Advanced knowledge: survey according to real prices they know, not the prices in the textbook.

4. Basic language:

* Vocab: hundred, thousand, a canteen, a fried rice, a bowl of.

* LF: What would you like for breakfast? - I'd like ...

How much is a fried rice? - It's 10.000đ.

5. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to number the food as they hear, talk about prices for food and drink with “ How much is it?”

B. Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work.

- Some techniques can be used: Bingo, R & R, Board drill.

III. New lesson: (35')

Activity 1: Presentation: 6’

- Listen to the teacher.

- Repeat after the teacher.

- Notice the main stress pattern.

- Write the new words in their notebooks.

+ Checking vocabulary: Slap the board - Put the numbers on the board.

- Call two students of two teams to the front of the class.

- Call out one of numbers in English in loud voice.

Activity2: Presentation text: 10’

- Ask students to read a menu in A5 on page 120 then anwer some questions about prices to isolate the model sentence:

+ How much is a fried rice?

+ How much is a cake?

+ How much is a sandwich?

- Let students copy the notes in their notebooks and memorize.

- Answer the questions about prices to isolate the model sentence:

+ It’s 2,500đ.

+ It’s 500đ.

+ It’s 1,500đ.

- Copy the notes in the notebooks and memorize.

Activity 3: Practice: 10’

Read the shopping list.

Read the phrazes.

Repeat after the teacher (The fisrt cue then the second cue).

Make the sentences for themselves.
