PROCEDURE

1.Warm up(5’) Sing a song WC

2.Look, listen and repeat(15’)

- Ask ss look at the picture and listen to the dialogue in their books.

- Tell them that they are going to practise introducing themselves and responding to the introduction( vietnamese).

- Point to the P1 and Ask ps look at the text in speech bubbles. Use a poster or two character puppets to present the situation.

- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books.

- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles.

Repeat the step a few times.

- Practice with ps.

- Devide the class into 2 groups. Asks practice in pairs.

- Call some pairs practice in front of the class.

- Check ss’ mistake when necessary.

- Model: Call on a pair and ask them to pretend to be the characters to act out the exchange. Have the class repeat all the phrases in this section.

- Play the recording again for Ss to listen and tick the correct answers.

- Ask Ss to exchange their answers with their partners before reporting them to the class.

- Play the recording again to Ss repeat

4. Let’s sing(10’) - Ask Ss to open their Student’s book on page 13. Stick the large- sized sheet of paper with the sing on page 13 on the board. Tell them that they are going to sing Where are you from?song.

- Play the recording all the way through for Ss to get familiarized with the

pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the intonation of the song.

- Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat.

- Play the recording once more for Ss to repeat the whole song.

- Call on some Ss to sing the song in front of the class. The rest of the class clap their hands at rhythms.- Sing the song in the prepared clip.

1.Warm up(5’) - Play game “ Who is fastest?”. Pupils use little boards to write down words teacher recall. The pupil who is the fastest and exact one is the winner.
