1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Ask and answer question about weekly activities.

- Listen and number the pictures in the correct order.

- Read, and complete the gapped paragraph, using the provided information.

- Play the game Slap the board.

- Pronounce the sounds of the letters t and y in the words Tony and yes respectively.

- Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words Tony and yes. Say the chant Is that Nam?

- Listening, writing and speaking.

3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Ss confident in communicate with their friends.

- Ss love English, friends and teacher.

- Ss pronounce the sounds of the letters t and y

Activity 1. Listen and repeat (10’)

- Have Ss open the book page 22, draw their attention to the letters colored differently in the words Tony and Yes.

- Produce the sound of the letter t and y

- Have Ss repeat the focused sounds a few times.

- Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat:

+ Is that Tony?

+ Yes, it is.

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.

- Call on someone to pronounce.

- Have the whole class recite the chant to reinforce their pronunciation.

Activity 2. .Listen and write. ( 10’) Have Ss look at the table on page 16

- Ask Ss what they have to do in this task.

- Play the tape twice.

- Ask them to listen and write the answers.

- Call someone to write on the board, check Ss’

notebook.

- Check and correct mistakes.

- Ask Ss to read aloud 2 sentences.
