A. Aims of the lesson :

1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to;

- Further practice in "too, so, neither, either - Practice reading and speaking skills.

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to remember the use of "too, so, neither, either.

*. Language focus:

- Review then practice the past simple tense, indefinite quantifiers, Too and either, So, Neither and Imperatives

2. Skills:

- Practice the past simple tense throughout the pictures.

- Use the suggestion words to make the sentences.

My name is Huy and fishing is my favorite sport. I often fish for two hours without catching anything. But this does worry me. Some fishermen are unlucky. Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish.

I am even less lucky, I never catch anything, not even old boots. After spending the whole morning on the river, I always go home with an empty bag. “You should give up fishing”, my friends say,.“It’s a waste time” but they don’t know that I’m not really interested in fishing.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read for comprehension and sport vocabulary.

- Students can name 10 most popular sports that teenagers in the US often play. Since then, it compares with the sport most popular among Vietnamese youth and teenagers.

*. Language focus:

1. Knowledge:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen to a text about an invitation and practice in Modal verbs “ can, should, ought to, must”. use adjectives and adverbs of manner to talk about sporting activities.

- Students grasp two expressions of adjectives with nouns and adverbs with verbs about sports. Be aware of safety warnings under water when swimming.

a) New words: lifeguard, pool edge, skill, sudden, safe, careless, strict. good, well, slowly...

b) Grammar: : How to use adverbs: S + be + N + adv
