( page 38-39) A. Aims of the lesson:

1. Knowledge:

- Help Ss further practice in Modal verbs with “if” direct and reported speech (here / now), reported questions.

*. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to further practice in Modal verbs with “if” direct and reported speech (here / now), reported questions.

*. Language contents:

a) Vocabulary: - Review the new words b) Grammar: - Modal verb with if

- Reported speech 2. Skills:

- Ask and answer with partner about the best ways to learn foreign language.

- Practice to change the direct sentence in to reported speech as the structure in lesson.

*. Giáo dục kĩ năng sống:

- Giáo dục cho h/s có kĩ năng tư duy, sáng tạo, tự suy nghĩ và viết bài Tiếng Anh theo cấu trúc câu.

- Giáo dục kĩ năng hợp tác chia sẻ thông tin cùng bạn bè để hoàn thành nhiệm vụ.

II. Warm up: ( 05’) FINDING THE IDEA PARTNER

- T divides the class into two teams. The boy team is Mouse, the girl team is cat.

- T prepares 7 conditional sentences, then T cuts them into two parts. Mouse team receives part 1 and Cat team receives part 2. Then Ss find “ partner” to make a full sentence.

1. If I had a new car, I would visit Hue.

2. If I were a King, you would be a Queen.

3. If I have money, I will buy a house.

4. If she is sick, she won’t go to school.

5. If you study hard, you can get good grades.

6. If you get here before eight, we can catch the early train.

7. If it doesn’t rain soon, all plants are going to die.

- After Ss find finishing “partner”. Ss will give full sentences on the board.

III. New lesson: (38 mins)

I. Aims of the unit :

Helping the students know to:

- Ss will be able to understand the details of the text about Media.

- Ss will be able to get further information about the media: Television and know some TV programs in Vietnam.

- Will be able to know the basic information about the historic developments of the media printed newspaper , telegraph , radio , TV …

- Know something about the Internet through some vocabulary: surf the web , e-- mail , chatting , forum , get access , time- consuming.

- Get further information about the benefits of the Internet . II. TEACHING AIDS:

III. Teaching Methods:

A. Aims of the lesson:

1. Knowledge:

- Thông qua bài học rèn luyện cho h/s kỹ năng tìm kiếm và sử lý thông tin trong bài đọc và cách dự đoán qua phần “guesing”.

- Đồng thời h/s cũng được gd kỹ năng tìm kiếm sự hỗ trợ từ phía GV để hoàn thành bài nghe và đọc tổng hợp.
