Step 1. Pre- reading (10’)
* Pre - teach vocab
enormous ( adj): = very big : khổng lồ pipe ( n): ống nước
plumber (n): thợ sửa ống nước crack (n): vết nứt
dripping faucet (n): vòi nước bị rò rỉ
* T/ F statements:
1. Mrs Ha is worried about her water bill.
2. MrsMi gives Mrs Ha advice on how to save water.
3. Mrs Ha has checked all the pipes in the house and found no cracks.
T introduces vocab by using explanation and translation.
T checks vocab by Ro & Re
Ss listen and repeat, then copy down
T sets the scene about Mrs Ha and Mrs Mi by board drawing.
T asks Ss some questions:
T: What are they doing?
T: Is Mrs Ha happy or worried?
T: Why is she worried?

4. Mrs Ha suggests getting some tools to check cracks in the pipes.

1. Because her recent water bill is enormous.
2. She pays 200.000 dong.

Topic: What should you do to save energy at home and at school?
Suggestion:
+ taking shower instead of bath + turning off the faucet after use.
+ making sure there are no cracks in the pipes.
+ turning off the TV, radio, lights, … when no one use.
