Lesson 1: Part 4+5+ 6 I. OBJECTIVES

1. Knowledge:By the end of this lesson, Ps will be able to listen and write specific information about animals in a zoo

* Language focus:

- Sentence Pattern:“What did you see at the zoo? I saw ...

- Vocab: pythons, crocodiles, peacocks and gorillas.

2. Skills: - Develope listening and writing skills.

3. Core competencies and personal qualities:-Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English with others, tobe studious and obedient

II. TEACHING AIDS

1. Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, computer, speakers, projector.

2. Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks.

III. PROCEDURE

Teacher’s and Ss’ activities Content 1.

Warm up: (5’)

- Play Charade.( : pythons, crocodiles, peacocks and gorillas.….)

- Ss play into 2 groups. T & Ss praise the winners

2. New lesson:

Act 1. Listen and tick(10’):

*Pre:

- Tell the class that they are going to listen and tick the correct pictures.

- Have pupils read the questions in their books. Check their understanding.

* While:

- Play the recording all the way through for them to listen. Play it again for them to do the task.

- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class. Play the recording again to confirm the answers.

* Post:

- Play the game: Whisper

Act 2. Read and complete(10’):

* Pre:

- Tell the class that they are going to read and fill the gaps with intelligent, gorillas, elephants, do and like.

* While:

- Set a time for pupils to do the task independently.

- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class. If there is enough time, have the class read the completed text aloud.

* Post:

- Ask Ps toplay a game: Lucky numbers Act 3. Let’s sing(10’):

- Tell pupils that they are going to sing What did you see at the zoo?

- Have them read each line of the lyrics and teach them any unfamiliar words. Check their comprehension.

- Play the recording all the way through for them to listen and follow in their books.

Play it again for them to do choral repetition line by line.

- When they are familiar with the melody, ask the class to sing along with the music.

Invite two groups to sing the song and do actions in front of the class: one group sings the questions and the other sings the answers. The rest of the class clap their hands along to the rhyrm
