UNIT 12: SPORTS AND PASTIMES LESON 5: C1- 4 A . Objectives:

1. Knowledge

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read a picture story to understand the details and practice in adverbs of frequency (always, usually, often,sometimes, never ) with the simple present tense for regular activities.

- Learn some vocab: always, usually, often, sometimes, never, have a picnic, fly their kites, go camping, tent.

2. Skills

- Practice reading skill.

- Asking and answering question with: “How often …?”

- Write about their pastimes using adverbs of frequency.

3. Attitude

- Love talking about the frequency of their activities.

- Say the adverbs of frequency loudly.

- Explain the meanings of these adverbs , then let Ss listen and repeat

Ss: Listen to the teacher, notice the meanings of the adverbs of frequency.

* Check Vo: What and where.

2 . Open prediction

- Set the scene: introduce Ba and Lan - Ask Ps to think of activities of Ba and Lan

- Ps tell their guesses and T writes on BB.

Step 2: While- reading (15’)

- Ask Ps to read the text and check their predictions

* Grid:

-Let Ss read the text again and complete the table

- Let Ss practice in pairs, ask and answer the question about Ba and Lan’s activities.Use “How often . . .?”
