LESSON 6: LANGUAGE FOCUS A. Objectives:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, student will be able to talk about the activities using present and past progressive tense.

2. Skills:

+ Speaking: Say what each person was doing at certain time in the past; what the people are always doing.

+ Writing: Write sentences about what people are always doing.

3. Attitude : Learn hard and know how to plan for a vacation.

- Ask the first student in one group to say a simple sentence and add one new sentence of his or her own.

III. New lesson(37’) LANGUAGE FOCUS 1 Step 1: Presentation(8’) 1. Ordering pictures:

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures on P119 (LF1) carefully.

- Tell Ss to listen and number the picture.

- Read the verbs aloud.

- Call on some ss to give their answer.

- Give feedback and correct.

Step 2: Practice (7’) Word cue drill:

- Show card boards and have Ss run through the verbs again.

- Model sentence (1) and have Ss repeat.

- Show the card boards to the Ss and ask them to say the next sentences.

- Call on some Ss to go to the board and write the sentence.

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures on P119 and do the matching on P120

- Call on some ss to give their answers.

2. Teaching grammar :

- Elicit the model sentences by asking the questions

+ What happen while Ngawas eating ? - Write the model sentences on the board then ask them to repeat

- Have some pairs practice each exchange before going on to other exchange.

- Decorate, clean, paint the house, the room, the yard.

- Buy the cake, candies, drink, food, fruits.
