1. The aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:

Step 1: Pre - listening (13’)

- Say: " Today we are going to listen about Sarah Chen's study. Let's start with the new words.

- Ask Ss to look at report and some notes:

Step 2: While - listening (14’) 1. Listen:

- Get Ss to listen to the tape twice and check their prediction .

- Call on Ss to read their results and give feedback

2. Comprehension questions:

- Ask Ss to look at the questions about Sarah Chen's report card.

- Ask Ss to listen to the tape again and work in pairs to answer the questions.

- Call on some pairs to practice in front of class.

- Give feedback.

Nga has worked very hard this term and her grade are very good.

She missed five days of school due to sickness. Her participation and co-operation are satisfactory. Her speaking and reading are excellent and her writing is good but her listening skill is not very good.
