1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to;

- Reading a text about some celebrations in the world for details.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know more about the popular celebrations in the world.

*. Language focus:

a. Vocabulary: Easter, celebration, freedom, Passover, slavery, decorate, occur, ancient.

b. Grammar: the simple present tense 2. Skills:

- Practice listening and reading the text then answer questions.

- Học sinh biết tự tin và nhận thức được những lời nói của mình khi chúc mừng cho người khác.

- Biết cảm thông và ứng phó với căng thẳng dù là không muốn để hoàn thành mục tiêu của bài học đề ra.

+ Qualified: Ss can understand the holidays that need congratulations and appropriate greetings according to the holidays. Read the text and give yourself simple congratulation suggestions.

+ Advanced: Good students can write a paragraph about congratulating someone on a holiday like 20-11.

* Suggestions:

+ Tet is the most important celebration in Vietnam. It is in late January or early February.

On this occasion, people clean and decorate their homes, they wear new clothes and family

members enjoy together special food such as sticky rice cake. Everyone in Vietnam feels happy

on Tet holiday.

+ Passover is the festival in Israel and all Jewish people celebrate it. Passover occurs in late March or early April. On the first or second nights of Passover, Jewish families eat a special

meal called the Seder. Passover celebrates freedom from slavery.

+ Easter is celebrated in many countries. It happens in late March or early April. On Easter Day, people crowd the streets to watch colourful

parades. They give children chocolates and sugar

eggs if they are good.

- Practice giving and responding to compliments.

*. Objectives:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to give and respond to compliments. By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to give and respond to compliments and remind how to use adverbial clause of concession.

*. Language focus:

- Review the structure in the present simple tense.

*. Giáo dục kĩ năng sống:

- Thông qua bài học h/s nâng cao về sự nhận thức của bản thân. Biết đánh giá về giá trị của những ngày lễ lớn, sự quan hệ của mọi người và xã hội.

- Biết nhìn nhận, đánh giá đúng về tiềm năng, tình cảm, sở thích, thói quen, điểm mạnh, điểm yếu của người thân để có được những lời khen ngợi, động viên nhau trong cuộc sống hàng ngày.

- Thắt chặt hơn nữa mối quan hệ với bạn bè, người thân trong các dịp lễ tết, những lời chúc mừng nhau cho cuộc sống tốt đẹp.
